Tournament of Peace, Zagreb 2023
Hans Niemann won in impressive style. No defeat, 7 wins and 2 draws.
Korobov (second) and Ivanchuk (fourth) have one loss each.
The third, Ante Brkic, one win and 8 draws. As is our custom, we will
take Korobov and Ivanchuk’s losses and make them wins. Of course, both
of them lost to Niemann. This will be an instructive lesson for both
them and the winner, as we will show what could realistically have
happened on the chessboards in these games.
In the Sinquefield Cup Tournament November 2023, the level was more
even. Caruana won, 3 wins, no loss. One defeat each was scored by Wesely
(third). Aronian, (sixth) and Giri (seventh). Duda resigned after round
1 due to illness. Congratulations to the winners.
