W dniach 17-21.04.2025 w Karlsruhe (Niemcy) odbył Grenke Chess Open z udziałem około 3300 uczestników z całego świata.
Oprócz turnieju szachów klasycznych odbyły również turnieje szachów Fischera z udziałem czołówki światowej, w tym Magnusa Carlsena.
W turnieju wystąpiła liczne ekipa z Polski, w tym czołowy arcymistrz kraju Mateusz Bartel.
