„Gdyby Kasparow nie opierał się na swoich domowych przygotowaniach byłby sklasyfikowany nie wyżej niż przy końcu pierwszej dziesiątki. Siła jego gry opiera się głównie na znajomości debiutów, którą zawdzięcza swojemu zespołowi pracującego dla niego 24h na dobę. Dla mnie Karpow, Anand, Kamski, Gelfand, Iwanczuk, Kramnik, żeby wymienić tylko kilka nazwisk – to lepsi gracze. Jeśli w partii z Kasparowem w grze środkowej uzyskają wyrównaną pozycje to on nie potrafi wykazać swojej rzekomej wyższości.
